Some notable achievements include:

• Recipient of the "Doctor of Letters" degree from the International Tamil University of Maryland, USA, for social service.
• Karnataka Chief Minister's Gold Medal for meritorious service in Civil Defence.
• l Philanthropy Award and Adarsha Dampathi award from the district.
• Initiated the "World Service Week" and motivating clubs to participate in service activities and Awarded Seva Puraskar Award for the Clubs

Mohan is dedicated to social causes, particularly education and welfare of soldiers' families. He supports over 500 Government School children annually, motivating them to pass their 10th standard exams and awarding those who score 80% and above.

He has also worked with the Karnataka Forest Department, planting and maintaining saplings.

Serving as a Divisional Warden for Division 11, consisting of Rajajinagar and Prakashnagar, in the Civil Defence Movement.

Mohan is a trustee and member of various social organizations

Mohan and his wife Sharada have attended five international conventions and five ISAME forums, visiting over 40 countries. They are blessed with two children, Shalini, a musician, and Vikram, at present working for Scanline VFX (Currently NetFlix), Vancouver, Canada.
